Materials for MRI, Thermography, Ultrasound & Other Medical Equipment

Equipment using some types of energy sources in low doses is accepted medical care, but that equipment needs protection in other ways.  Various attacks from UV exposure and microbes can degrade polymer.  Excessive vibration and noise are also problems during use.  Work with Avient to choose materials that resist microbe growth, reduce noise and vibrations, or protect devices from loss of mechanical properties from chemical disinfectants or UV radiation. Also, special formulations also allow you to color and brand your devices for medical practitioners and their customers to recognize your products from others.

Highlights

  • Materials that resist cracking, crazing, and discoloration from exposure to most disinfectants
  • Excellent aesthetics, coloring ability & high durability
  • UL flame rating up to UL 94 5VA
